A near miss refers to an unsafe act or condition that, while not resulting in injury or illness, had the potential to do so. Therefore, documenting these incidents is crucial within the Salus App framework.
Safety walks involve direct engagement with workers on-site. The aim is to foster discussions about their current tasks and explore ways to enhance safety and efficiency. It is essential for those conducting safety walks to model safe behaviors themselves, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety protocols, thereby minimizing risks for the workforce. The Salus App facilitates this process effectively.
The introduction of the Salus App represents a significant step forward in enhancing our capability to record and manage safety incidents. It also serves as a tool for measuring health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance on-site.
The Salus App is now available for download.
